Still undecided on this one. Would have worked better if it wasn't claiming to be "Body Snatchers" for today.
I'm sorry, but you can't do Body Snatchers without the screech. Plus, the 'pod people' (the pods are gone, btw. It's a virus) lose their freakiness when they clearly show emotion at certain points.

All in all, I didn't think it was a bad movie. Any comparisons to the classic will hurt it, of course, but I think that is true for many movies made today that are remakes or re-imaginings of classics.

Had to go see what movie this was on IMDB, lol. Yeah, I saw this too, it wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either. By the way, not once did I ever hear of this having anything to do with the body snatchers untill you brought it up and just now when I went to IMDb.

It stands well enough on its own merits.
Making it a virus did jack up the tension about falling asleep.
Also, her rack ws exceptional.

Yeah, the falling asleep thing had more of an impact, I can honestly say I never noticed how great her spice rack really was.

No, this movie had a brillant wardrobe designer.
Or a Wonderbra sponsorship.

After Schamylan's last movie, I think they'll steer clear of killer trees for a while.
The Wolfen really needs a decent adaption. Now.

True, the main guy just walks around them, waving a spray-pack full of Round-Up.
