I don't expect perfection, I do expect it to not contradict itself and I expect fans to not have to be blind to the movies flaws. You say anything that isn't 100% praise of the movie you have some moron bitching at you non stop. Of course, I have to enlighten people on how to be an ass when they think they are the king. I'm sorry, but Cameron is far from a master of Cinema.

T1 didn't contradict itself, the sequels did. Since the 80's ended, James Cameron just got worse and worse, until Titanic. Poor guy finally watched it, and hasn't made anything since.

A terminator had to be sent back in time for them to be built in the first place. The terminator being sent back in time is what set in motion John being born in the first place causing the need to send a terminator back in time. Judgement Day has to happen for them to formulate the plan to stop Judgement Day from happening.

It's a paradox, not a contradiction. Most decent time travel stories involve paradoxii.

The time thing isn't a problem, if you treat it as the first in the loop. Someone else needs to be the father, could be the Pillsbury Doughboy, but the asshole bf would be the most likely candidate.
The Problems, which I've said time and time again comes primarily from the characters and the dialogue. All three main characters are heavily flawed. We have a dumb bitch who we are supposed to care about because her life sucks, it;s a miracle this moron who is oblivious to everything noticed Reese was stalking her, she randomly decides to grow a backbone at the end of the movie. then we have Reese, this dumb fuck would lose a game of hide and seek because he's standing there like an idot in front of the person, then we have a sex scene, which given the circumstances would have been better suited for the very end of the film, however if they did that, how would they have shaken off the fact that he throws like a girl? Neither one understands What get out of town means.
Then we have the Terminator, the créme de la crap. He takes clothes from three men, all of which are half his size. He leaves bother everywhere, he shoots a lady in broad day light and leaves witnesses, kills a store clerk in broad daylight and leaves witnesses, breaks into a car in broad daylight and hot wires it by ripping out the ignition.... I'm sure husbands everywhere were pissed when they found out their wives tried doing that. He sneaks into an aprt building in the middle of the night, yet decides it's a great idea to ram a car into a police station alerting everyone inside...oh he also shoots up a motel one room at a time, no way in hell someone will sneak past him eh?
Again, you choose to ignore the problems and make up random BS for T2. "Oh how did Arnold get to to the mall?" He was actively looking for John as was shown in a scene before they were at the mall. Unless you can name another big dude in the movie that would care where Jon is, then he went to the parent's home too, so asking people isn't beyond his comprehension.

Ah they are not paradoxes as they actually cancel themselves out rather than create an endless loop.

Actually, nothing gets cancelled out intill T3... you see the problem there. Either way, just because something got cancelled out it doesn't mean it was never there.

Yes it does as one cannot exist without the other and cannot be instigated before the other. Since neither can happen before the other one does neither of them will happen as they each require the other to happen first.

All movies have the same problem, if you think about them enough they fail to make any sense.

No, all movies with that many problems in just the characters are considered to suck, slap James Cameron's name on it and it's considered gold.

T1 was a good movie but not as great as some people like to remember it. If bbsy didn't like Aliens well that would probably be because he is in love with Alien Res which was the T3 of Alien movies
