And where they any good? I’m going to see Snow Patrol next month and surprisingly it’ll be the first real concert I’ve been to.
My whole Reg class in school got free tickets to the MTV Europe awards in Edinburgh a few years ago. That was more a bunch of random performances and acceptance speeches rather than an actual concert though. It was still awesome though, especially Beyonce’s performance. The Black Eyed Peas doing “Where Is The Love“ and the White Stripes “Seven Nation Army“ were amazing live as well. Oh, and Christina Aguilera dressed like a hooker all night was quite the sight.

I forgot to mention the weird sight of Vin Diesel wearing a kilt.
We had an awful view, but it was still awesome. The damn thing lasted for like 4 hours though, they only aired about half of it on TV.

Interesting
Well, I'm ashamed to admit that I've seen the New Kids on the Block in concert.

Haha. I'm not ashamed of any of the shit I listen to. My iPod playlist goes from like hip-hop to classic rock to some pop stuff. What can I say? I like what I like.

There are several people I would like to see in concert. When I was little I declined an offer to go see Aerosmith with my family, which I regret now. I would love to see Prince in concert. I heard he's amazing.

If we're talking who we'd like to see live, my list would be endless lol.
Michael Jackson live would have been amazing I imagine.

I've seen:
Social Distortion - Great (I've heard Mike Ness is a douche though) The Vandals - Great, my first concert/mosh pit The Adolescents - Great, nice guys too Sum 41 - One of my favorite live shows ever Jack's Mannequin - another great show My Chemical Romance - I used to knock these guys all the time, but they put on an amazing show. The Donnas - I was excited to see them, but they're kind of shitty live Taylor Swift - Went for my friends birthday, it was pretty fun. Eric Hutchinson - He's pretty good Rancid - Awesome, I met Tim Armstrong once super nice guy. Hoobastank - they were alright Lit - Awesome The Rocket Summer - Loved them The Format - They were alright ZZTop - Saw them with my dad, never seen so many people in their 50's break out some weed. Yellowcard - This was kind of disappointing.
There's a lot more, but those are the ones at the top of my head.
Going to see Paramore/Relient K/ and some band called Fun (I think) this weekend.

Speaking of old men, I wouldn’t mind seeing The Rolling Stones live, even now.

No one... yet.
Tonight I will be seeing Fozzy live in concert at the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham ;D
I want to go and see Fightstar live seeing as they're my favourite band. I had the chance to see Guns N Roses back in 2006 but turned it down because I don't like the new line up. I always wanted to see Busted live but never had a real chance.

Awesome. Let us know how it is when you get back. I made this thread just in time. ;D I don't know why I've never been to a real concert before now. For a fairly small city, Glasgow does get a lot of major names here. The Snow Patrol concert next month is actually in my local park. I've heard outdoor concerts are amazing, especially at night obviously. I could have probably heard it from my house though, so we might end up regretting actually buying tickets.

? and the Mysterians - It was so good, but too many people in the audience were clearly not aware of who they are. Flogging Molly - I learned not to attend concerts wearing open-toe shoes. The Verve - AWFUL Street Dogs, Young Dubliners, Prodigals, POGEY, and Scythian - Loved it. It was so brilliant. Goo Goo Dolls... kind of, we were too young to get into the bar so we sat on the beach and listened. They were playing on the patio so it worked well. Loads of local bands.
Some country festival I have no clue who played other than that they are apparently popular in that genre. We spent most of the time being total asses and asking every male with a cowboy hat on if they were Garth Brooks. We got a couple "fuck yous" and a drunk creepy guy claiming that he was and invited us back to his blanket. Oh, then there were really horrible attempts at forcing me into the mud pit to wrestle with a large and slightly hairy woman. At least I'm assuming on the woman part.
I'll be seeing Ekoostik Hookah, Gov't Mule, Michael Franti, and a few others later this month and Rush this fall. I can't wait for Rush.

Dinosaur Jr.? I'm pretty jealous right now. Were they great? From what I recall (I was on about 4 vodkas, a couple of jagers and countless lagers at the time) they were pretty amazing. I didn't know too much about them either really so I wasn't expecting much but they're quite brilliant. I find that usually at these sort of things the people you're most looking forward to disappoint you the most.

Slipknot - Not so much a concert as a battle royal with very loud out of time backing music.... Motorhead - Fucking incredible but I wish i didnt have to listen to The Damned play for 45 minutes before the real show started. Slayer - Underwhelmed overall but still ok... Metallica- Meh, not a huge Metallica fan, only really went to see Alice in Chains. They were as good as they always were but there was like 4 other bands so they only got like a half hour. Nightwish - The last date of their 2 year Dark Passion Play tour in the Hartwell Areena in Helsinki, probably the best concert I've ever been to. Great to hear Apocalyptica as the support band also. Iron Maiden - Saw them once a few years ago and loved it, going again in July, Heaven and Hell is gonna be there too....which is just Black sabbath without Ozzy...who wants to listen to that? AC/DC - Glad to have seen them last year before their inevitable retirement.

I'm told that my mum and dad went to a Michael Jackson concert when she was pregnant with me (So i was probably the most desirable person there for him... ), which funnily enough was at Roundhay Park, which is about a 5 minute walk down the road from where I now live with my girlfriend. Doesn't really count, and another one that doesn't really count, I went to see The American Drifters. The original group, but no original members.... piss take.... Thanks for allowing me to waste your time. I'd love to go to a Boyz II Men gig though.
