Here we go, by request I will be posting fairly regularly or irregularly or somewhere in between the two links to some of the funnies that my country has churned out. Lets start off with 'A Bit of Fry and Laurie' uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0HcbOMqvK2M&feature=relatedAnd I say, that Laurie fellow does a pretty good English accent for an American!

I imagine a ton of Monty Python will be coming up. I'm pretty impressed to see Fry and Laurie up first. I've come to adore Stephen Fry.
Is it wrong that as far as British comedy goes I still find Benny Hill hilarious?

I imagine a ton of Monty Python will be coming up. I'm gonna try to keep that to a minimum myself. It's a bit overdone. I'm gonna try to use this thread for a few of the lesser known British shows. Fry is an absolute legend. No, I find him to be quite humorous at times. Wouldn't go as far as hilarious mind! Tommy Cooper still makes me belly-laugh. Anyone here familiar with Chris Morris?

From what I've seen of Cooper, he was excellent.
Now I'm wondering when Cheesy Peas appears in here.

You know, I wasn't a massive fan of The Fast Show myself!

A friend of mine at school loved it. You couldn't tell him it was repetitive. His brain overruled that.

Make your own damn thread.
Unfortunatley for you, I'm claiming that as British.

Well then you can go fuck yourself, anyone who watches it will see it as completely obvious that the show is Irish and proud of it. And none of the characters have that pompous accent that you poxy british bastards have.

they filmed in county Clare, which is not part of the North where the british have control. No but it was filmed primarily for British television. That's an end of it now, make a thread about it if you want, I don't want this thread being hijacked.

Its not the end of it, it was aired first on RTE, which is pretty much a strictly Irish show. Maybe the north has it, but i dont thoink Britain does.

Wheres all the balls of steel?

There's only a few good clips of Balls of Steel in my opinion, and they're usually took down from YouTube with alarming regularity.
On another note, YouTube took down my Trigger Happy USA clips today... DAMN YOU VIACOM!! (It's a channel 4 show anyway!?)
And my Trigger Happy UK clips are under copyright from Channel 4 now, and apparently can be viewed by anyone not in the British Isles....

You know, I forgot who he even was, I had to google him. I don't think he's been in any series after the first.
The pain men are a bit rubbish, it's just 2 of the guys from dirty sanchez.
Alex Zane I like, but thats cause he's a Leeds lad I think.
The bunny boiler is quite funny at times.

I am honestly really excited because I am a big fan of british comedies, Monty Python, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, and last night on adult swim they showed the scheduling for premieres of new shows, that will be renewed or start being shown on adult swim. The Mighty Boosh is one of them, finally I can see what all the hype is about cause I only seen a couple of clips here and there and it's pretty damn funny. Also they just started showing another british comedy called Look Around You. I watched bits and pieces of it last night, I was busy on the computer. So matt, what's your opinion on Darkplace? And how is the Mighty Boosh?

The Mighty Boosh is one of my favourite comedies ever. It's the reason BigFake first went on IMDb. I had a thread with all of the series 2 episodes on OWE, but the vids have most likely been took down now.
It (along with Garth Marenghi) is a type of comedy I would expect wouldn't do well in America as it's very British and surreal. I love Old Gregg, one of my top Mighty Boosh characters. Did you know, in real life the guy who plays Naboo is Vinces (The guy with the beautiful long hair) little brother?
Garth Marenghi was a show I didn't catch a lot of, but enough for it to amuse me. It's one of them that like others (Nathan Barley off the top of my head) is and probably forever will be massively underrated. Unfortunatley I doubt there'll be a second series for this.
I suspect you'd absolutely love Brass Eye Uberto. I'll fish some clips out for you soon.

I'm pretty sure you can find all the Darkplace episode on youtube. I first saw it at like three in the morning and I was shit faced drunk wondering what the hell was going on, then I taped all the episodes and watched them all they're pretty funny, I've watched them a couple of times cause you find something new to laugh at each time. When I saw the first episode, not shitfaced, but high, I was instantly a fan within the first 10 minutes. The Line, I'm Doctor Sanchez you're a woman. Still cracks me up. Matt Barry, Matt Holness, and ESPECIALLY Richard Ayoade are comedic geniuses.
