Oh well I have to bite the bullet and pick up season 11 as one of my favs "Hell Behind the Laughter" is on it.
Are they making much money on these season DVDs? JB seems to slash the price in the blink of an eye.
$60 to $30 the Simpons $50 to $15 Family Guy $75 to $25 Farscape
The most insane being....
Star Trek NG,DS9, VOYAGER $270 to $60
The Aus $ is not a factor in our prices as Rudd managed to destroy the economy in less than a year. So logically our dollar weakening shouldn't cause the price of imports to drop.
What are the going prices for season DVDs elsewhere in the world

I'm elsewhere in the country and our prices have dropped dramatically as well.
All Simpsons DVD's are going for $24.95 season 11 inculded that is down from $55
Family Guy and Futurama both dropped from $50 each to $15. So I brought all 4 seasons of Futurama American dad was also the same.
Scrubs has gone from $50 from $15 to $25 depending on the season and a shit load more have dropped dramatically South Park also dropped from $45 to $17.

I think its because they were stupidly overpriced to begin with.
Simpsons Season 1 when it was first released retailed for $110. Back when DVDs were some new fangled technology and and the players wouldn't give much change from $1000.
But why would anyone pay the full price for Season 11 when they know it will be $30 or less when Season 12 is released?
Once a dramatic discount has happened only an idiot would buy them at the previous full price. Considering all the shows mentioned thus far bar Farscape and played endlessly on Foxtel

I bought exactly one DVD in the calendar year of 2008, and that was The X Files: I Want To Believe. Yet, my DVD collection has grown considerably I love DVD Shrink...piracy rocks!

I used to have DVD Shrink running non stop but I just love having the originals so since I usually just have money with nothing to spend on I just buy the originals now.

;D They are cheap enough not to worry about piracy In the eternal battle for shelf space my game library ends at Tomorrow Never Dies for the PSX everything else is sort of floatung between shelves as I wait to get another bookcase. You can never have too many DVDs all thought its now dead man's boots in terms of shelf space for them as well

I would never pay sixty dollars for season 11.
I'm perfectly happy with owning the other ten seasons, because they are the only good seasons anyway.
