Been playing it, it is very good. Hands down one of the best MK games I've played since MK2.
Anybody have any questions about it? Ask me.

who are the best characters to play with? What are the different arenas? Is it as fun killing Superman as I think it would be?

As long as its a step up from MK-A
How balances/watered down are the characters?

To BBSY:
For me the best characters are Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Flash, and Batman.
For arenas, they are plenty to choose from. Ranging from the Fortress of Solitude to Gotham City to the Batcave. Sorry though, no Pit or Acid Pool as far as I know of.
It is fun indeed to kill superman (Especially with Lex Luthor's fatalities they are great)
To Cringe: The characters are a lot more balanced than they ever have been in past 3D games. When I was going to be Shao Kahn I figured I could use cheap tactics to win but surprisingly I couldn't. It's a little bit harder to button mash in this game. (Although it is still possible)

So they have finally toned down the usual MK cheapness

I'm sure you'll still find it, but it occurs less often that usual.

I'm sure you'll still find it, but it occurs less often that usual. Well as long as its not on par with MK2's endless sweep kick of death or Rain's unbeatable force orb

No, it isn't that bad lol.
You do need some skill the beat a good player in this, no more of Dairou's "Tombstone Drop" either.

To Venom Punk:
Joker is quite difficult at first, but once you learn to use his moves correctly he is a blast to play. He does more special moves than anyone else in the game I believe and most of them are things like a joy buzzer, a boxing glove, bombs, etc. his fatalities are great too (Although one is censored unless you get the European version)

by the way, how do they explain the two separate stories? Dc invading Outworld and visa versa. What side are the characters on, or are they strictly dc vs mk?

The MK storyline is so messed up I'm sure they could get away with....
Something really bad happened....then we had a cross promotion deal...I AM BATMAN....Get over here!

The story is actually pretty good this time. The voice acting (Especially for Joker and Scorpion) is great.
The two sides face off after a catastrophic event collides the two universes. (There's more to it than that but I am not spoiling anything) And yes it is MK VS DC until the very end where Superman and Raiden team up to beat Dark Kahn (Shao Kahn and Darkseid combine to form one person)
Each rival from MK and DC work together to beat the other side, like Shang Tsung and Sonya work together same as Scorpion and Sub-Zero (The game's events take place between MK 2 and 3)

Joker can't save everything, this is Midway we are talking about. Did you ever read that Batman Spider-Man cross over? Appearently Joker left Gotham City for a weekend just to break into Peter Parker's house and shoot his uncle Ben. What was even better is I think they had Carnage as the guy who killed Bruce Wayne's parents. They could just do this as a Marvel vs Capcom thing and just not really worry about a storyline.

That is a pretty good idea.

I can't really describe what Dark Kahn looks like, but he is cool looking, but you can't be him.

more than likely, lol! like in trilogy, their game plan don't work for you even if you can be them, lol.

lol! I never tried that. what was the force orb again? all I remember was the lightening. It was a yellow ball of electricty that lifted your opponent in the air and the slammed on the ground again just in time to be hit by the next yellow ball of electricty. The move was even more broken than MK2's endless sweep kicks and that takes some doing.
