Yes, I am a Metallica fan lol
In an attempt to get this board more popular I ask you to type your top twenty favorite Metallica songs (doesn't have to be in order but list your alltime favorite song at number one)
And no, if any songs are off of St.Anger I won't kill you =]
Here are mine:
1. Fade To Black 2. Fight Fire With Fire 3. Battery 4. All Nightmare Long 5. One 6. To Live Is to Die 7. Master Of Puppets 8. Disposable Heroes 9. Suicide and Redemption 10. Damage Inc. 11. Harvester Of Sorrow 12. Creeping Death 13. The Unforgiven III 14. Orion 15. Trapped Under Ice 16. Ride The Lightning 17. For Whom The Bell Tolls 18. No Leaf Clover 19. Unnamed Feeling 20. Some Kind Of Monster
Honorable mentions: Metal Militia, Sad but True, Suicide and Redemption, Call of Ktulu, The Unforgiven, The Unforgiven II, Escape, The Thing That Should Not Be, Leper Messiah
Oh, if you don't like Metallica. Then please don't bring your ass into this thread and say "Metallica sucks" because you don't belong in this thread. Start your own.

Really the only ones I like are Enter Sandman and King Nothing
The remake of Turn The Page they done I didn't care much for.
Bob Seger is just somebody you can't do a remake of

Enter Sandman is a good song but it is very overrated.
It is nowhere near their best. Listen to Battery, One, or Fade To Black for that.

What two CDs do you own?
Anything past 1991 sucks *with the exception of Death Magnetic*

Yeah they're my second favourite band of all time (Pantera top the bill). I started playing guitar simply because I heard "Master of Puppets" for the first time and thought it was cool as fuck and decided I wanted to learn that song. That was literally my drive to learn the instrument - so I could play that song. It's true what they say about them being such an influential band to other musicians.

I was JUST about to ask if you liked Pantera because they are my all time favorite as well. Dimebag is in a league of his own.

It's all true. I remember when I found out he died, I had four Pantera CDs in my college bag (I didn't have any form of mp3 player at the time so I just carried around a CD walkman with a few CDs). I was on a computer in the library on my mate's old band's message board, and there was a topic saying "RIP DIMEBAG DARRELL", which I first thought must have been a joke but then why the fuck would you joke about that? So I found more sources and it was just weird. I was genuinely gutted because the guy is a genius and whilst Metallica's guitar work got me interested in guitar; Pantera's has kept me there.
That night I was going to a weekly local rock club, and obviously the news was pretty spread by that night, so the DJ played like 7 Pantera songs over the night: Cowboys From Hell, Fucking Hostile, Cemetery Gates, Heresy, Hollow, Walk, and I'm Broken. Was epic. I'd also seen Machine Head less than a month before he was killed and they covered part of Walk, so it's awesome to remember that people were genuinely inspired by Dime before he died (you have to admit that there's been a huge Dimebag bandwagon since he was murdered).

There has been a lot of people sucking up to him after he died.
It's annoying but you can't do anything about it.

True. It doesn't really bother me, but it's nice to remember that Dime had his fans long before he died. It's good to know that he genuinely is better known for his guitar work than his death.
Probably a stupid question, but have you heard "In This River" by Black Label Society? The song was written before Darrell's death but it's become Zakk Wylde's tribute to him. Brilliant song in my opinion, always leaves me feeling a little emotional.

I'm being beaten senseless by the "Cowboys From Hell" album right now! Currently listening to "Message in Blood".
