February 26, 2009 Jerry Seinfeld Jerry Seinfeld Jerry Seinfeld and NBC are reuniting for a new series, this one coming with a little more fanfare than his last show at the network.
The new show is also not a sitcom. It's an unscripted show called "The Marriage Ref," in which comics and other celebrities will listen to couples lay out their marital issues and make judgments about who's right on the spot. Seinfeld and long-time "Oprah Winfrey Show" producer Ellen Rakieten will executive produce.
"This is not a therapy show, it's a comedy show," Seinfeld says. "After nine years of marriage, I have discovered that the comedic potential of this subject is quite rich."
The show will be Seinfeld's first TV effort since "Seinfedl" left the air in 1998. He guest-starred on "30 Rock" last season and also produced a series of interstitials for NBC to promote his "Bee Movie."
"While 'Seinfeld' was a hilarious look at single life, this new show will focus on the humor of relationships and marriage," says Paul Telegdy, NBC's head of alternative programming. "It's a great fit with the slate of alternative comedy we are building at NBC."
NBC has asked for six episodes of "The Marriage Ref." There's no word yet on a premiere date.

Draven also likes Spider-man... clearly he has horrible taste. edit: and Bret Hart.... are you trying to say that Christine's son, who loves Spider-Man, has horrible taste? Because, i think a statement like that could get someone in positive karma real quick and to answer Christine's question....i don't believe it was a work. it basically destroyed Bret's career, he was never the same again...i can't see someone with as much pride in the business as he had doing that.

JT is 4! You are damn near 40! 10x his age! He can learn the error of his little awesome ways, as for you, as they say, you can't teach an old dog new tricks... lol!

When I see Seinfeld's name posted, I instantly think of Kramer and the racist remarks he made at some comedy club a year or two ago ? Seems like last year, but may have been in 2007.

Seinfeld is not funny. Having endured entire seasons on DVD I can honestly say the only time it wasn't painful to watch/listen to was when Kramer was in a karate class with little kids.
