Amiityville is nothing more than a fake. George Lutz got down on money and made up the whole thing to get a fast buck. He got drunk one night with Jay Anson and they wrote the book that inspired the film. Anson admitted to it some years later. Yes Ronald DeFeo did kill his family and did claim that voices told him to do it. Ended up finding out that he was drugged up on the night he done it and in a interview he even said that he'd never noticed anything remotely Paranormal in the house. This is the case that really proves how much of a fake that Ed & Lorraine Warren is and I would love to go up to Ryan Buell of PRS and slap him over the head to try and make him see it. Want proof watch last night's episode of Paranormal State and you'll see. Anyway Lorrain goes into the Amityville house and starts claiming that the house had every Demon in it. Belial,Bazelbub Bael all of'em. You name'em their there. The walls was bleeding blood and it was running like a river down the floors I mean you'd think it was Satan's house the way she talked 'bout it. What got her was when she claimed that the house was setting on some Native American land but the only problem was that no Native American's was in that area. 'Round the time the movie came out bunch of TV crew and The Warrens and some more psychics *rolls eyes* got together to do a live investigation from the house. Before it started one of The Warrens crew snapped a picture Looks interesting don't it? Only problem is nobody's been able to test it to see if it's the real thing or not. Supposedly no kids was 'round only adults. Now Ed Warren has passed away few years ago but like I said Lorraine's still alive. Why don't she let the picture be tested to prove if it's real or not because if it is that is the Holy Grail of all paranormal. A Full Body Apparition caught. Good one that caught Lutz and his family in a lie was that he claimed after they left the house that day they never went back and he'd never step foot back 'round the place. Two days later after they left they went back and had a Yard Sale

Well now you know just how much scope the words "Based on a True Story" give you when creating a book/movie/whatever

When the name "Lorrain Warren" is involved you know then it's not much.
Her nephew John Zaffis is really the only one I really give credit to. He worked the Haunting In Connecticut case.
I've heard through the grapevine that Lorraine and Ed actually told Lutz to tell lot of the stuff

Ed Geins I think that was his name was the basis of Chainsaw Massacre very very very very very loosely No idea about Lambs Dracula the story PURE FANTASY, Dracula the character was based on Vlad Tepis aka Vlad the Impaler aka Baron Dracul, an over zealous warlord who like to dine surrounded by the impaled heads/corpses of his enemies. Bram Stoker even said as much, it gave him the basis for a character and a setting.

Yeah, just leather facee was based on Gein. Buffalo Bill was based on Gien as well. Lecter was based off of Albert Fish en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Fish The Dracula thing was a joke, I figured people knew the book was loosely based on a real person. I thought I brought it up here before.... I know I definitely discussed it with Christine... she didn't like it too much, lol! He was not a warlord! He was a beloved Prince!

Tepis is seen as a national hero and is beloved, he was still a blood thirsty SOB. Heck people regard Gabriel Principe as a hero even though he is responsible for just about all this shit that has happened in the world from the start of the 20th century

He was also a man of his word, well except when he locked all those people in that tower and burned it down.

I've only ever seen the remake even though we have five different variations and sequels of it. I enjoyed the wood-cutting scene quite well.
