Red Dwarf makes it's long awaited return to our TV's tonight! I'm really looking forward to it (Even though everything in my body tells me it's gonna be rubbish, I hope I'm wrong but will watch it anyway!)
Any fans of the previous series'?
Anyone gonna be watching the new episodes?

New episodes? Is this what the supposed movie has become after what 10+ years
Red Dwarf was great, they lost it a bit when they turned it into a dramatic comedy

The last two series was gash. No this isn't the movie (Although the rumour is they hope to get funding for the movie through this project)
This is more like 1 big episode spread over 3 parts. I saw the first part on Friday, which I enjoyed. Nowehre near a classic by any means but pretty good I thought. It's had mixed reviews at the moment. The only thing lacking from it I feel is the laughter track from the audience.
The second was on yesterday, I still have that recorded on Sky+ and need to watch that later as the final part is on tonight.

I appear in the minority in the hatred of laugh tracks No I totally agree with you, laugh tracks are usually terrible. The laughter from the Red Dwarf live audience was missing in these specials though, leaving the show unusually quiet at times. Also, I've watched the entire 3-parter and thought it was great. The first one was a bit 'meh', the second was 'alright' and the 3rd I found to be really good. I think there's life in the old dog yet, if they get a series commissioned that is. |
