PS3 game suggestions needed....

Okay...i have very little gaming experience(my last console was an Atari), but would like some ideas for some basic games for PS3.

What do i want? basically just blasting crap....simple as possible, no "you have to find this key" to get to the next level stuff.

Older titles would likely be best, stuff that would either be inexpensive as new, or likely to be found at decent prices used.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Saints Row 2, Dead Space (Although that is fairly objective driven), I've heard good things about Killzone 2 also but haven't played it myself.

A fairly new game, but looks immense is inFAMOUS. Superhero or villain, your choice and is sandbox styled like GTA. Prototype comes out shortly (Or most likely already out over there) Which seems similar.

New Ghostbusters game coming out for PS3 in a couple of weeks too.

I'm sure some of the big gamers here could probably point you in the way of more games than I though.
