UK, June 19, 2009 - The search for a new Conan the Barbarian is gathering pace, with Austrian actor Roland Kickinger the apparent front-runner to bag the role.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 41-year-old is in talks to play the muscle-bound warrior, made famous onscreen by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the early 1980s.
In a bout of life-imitating-art-imitating-life, Kickinger actually played Schwarzengger in the 2005 TV movie See Arnold Run, while following in Arnie's footsteps, he also appears as a T-800 in the recently released Terminator: Salvation.
