The fact that most "hardcore" fighting gamers trash Mortal Kombat for its "cheapness" when they praise Tekken. A game where anyone could win within five minutes by pressing random buttons and pulling off some big combo.

I like Tekken, but that is true.

I liked Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament, but that's it.
Virtua Fighter rapes it in every aspect though.

Virtua Fighter is the ultimate fighting game. Had VF5 stayed a PS3 exclusive I would have picked up the console already.
MK has always been cheap but it doesn't have Tekken's infinite combo BS. MK has had many dark hours pretty much everything between MK3 & Deadly Alliance was garbage. Prior to Tekken Dark Res the only decent Tekken game was Tekken 3.

Plus in Tekken you can press random buttons and you end up doing some big combo anyway. I could never remember doing that in Mortal Kombat (Except maybe 3)
In Tekken you can also simply keep kicking them in the leg and they do little to block it. It's ridiculous.

Lei and Law both have easy to pull spam combos that never end and once you get caught by it there is nothing you can do. Every time they claim that the controls have been tightened and now the game is more balanced...they don't fix these two problems.
MK's biggest cheese bar insane boss damage was Rain's spammable force orb and everyone's triple hit sweep kick. These were problems back in the 16 bit era back when combos were actually accidental.
Mortal Kombat has never been claimed to be a fair and balanced fighting game but Tekken has. People also like to rant about how realistic Tekken is as well who here can't shoot lasers out of their foreheads?

I distinctly remember fighting a walking and fighting wooden dummy and some cyborg dude named Gun Jack who could jump at least 20 feet in the air to do a powerbomb. Plus you fight Bears and Kangaroos on there, realistic my ass lol

I fight russian military cyborgs at least every other week, if I'm lucky I get to ride my panda into battle and fight along side a teleporting mechanical samurai
