Last night was the Leeds Rhinos v Hull KR playoff game. We won 44-8.
We played well but the game was marred by the injury of ex-Rhino's player and current Hull player Chev Walker, who suffered a compound fracture to his left leg.
Fair play to the man though, he didn't release the ball until given the all clear from the ref! Determined to keep possession.
Glad he got a good reception from our Rhino's fans though, he was a great player for us before going into Union. Good too see him wave and give a thumbs up the crowd too.
Rumour is he may not play again, but I hope he makes a full recovery.
He comes from the same area from Leeds as me too (Seacroft). Top man Chev, all the best.
Oh, and just to show how bad it was, here's a quote from their coach: "Obviously the bone popped through the skin so it looked fairly nasty."
It wasn't even a bad tackle really...

OUCH!!!!
Hate to see that happen to anyone and it's a damn shame when it does occur. Hopefully Chev can follow the lead of Big George Rose from Manly over here. Big George snapped his leg in similar fashion 2 years ago and it was feared his career is over but he has returned this year and played the best football of his career and has now been awarded with selection in the Prime Ministers XIII and been included in Australias quad nations train on squad.

I hope so! You never really like to see any sportsman's career ending by injury, especially not when they're relatively young.
Oh, and just to add on to that, the commentator Stevo says "And thats surely not his bone, thats the padding sticking out". It wasn't, it was indeed his bone.

Yeah you could tell it was the bone straight away.
was just reading an article saying Leeds had signed Brett Delany from the Gold Coast thought I would tell you now your team has signed an absolute dud.

I dont rate him at all. He has managed to be a consistent player in great teams but he has never been anything spectacular. Wigan signed his team mate Chris Walker who is a winger/center and Walker is much better.
