Or games you liked that most thought sucked.
I loved Silent Hill 4: The Room. I thought the storyline and idea was amazing and it's easily my favorite in the series.
Urban Chaos is another game that never got much love. I thought it was awesome, mainly because of all the little side things you could do, like killing the rapists who hung out in the park after dark when they tried to have their way with you.

F.E.A.R and F.E.A.R 2. I know these arent really considered bad games but they don't get nearly enough recognition as they should. They are both tremendous FPS games and the multiplayer is always fun. The horror element also seperates the game from other FPS' and creates a fantastic atmosphere.

F.E.A.R. was great, I think that was one of the games I originally got with my PS3. I haven't played the second one though.
Don’t know if it’s really underrated, but Parappa The Rapper is another game that can never get enough praise for me. The adventures of a rapping dog, brilliant.

Is that what Parappa The Rapper is? My little cousin used to talk about that all the time when we were little and I had no clue what he was going on about. That Urban Chaos game sounds kind of cool though. You kill rapists in the park after they try to molest you? Sweet!

The chick from Urban Chaos might be the most badass female videogame character of all time, even moreso than Lara Croft.
Some of the killings in that game were really brutal.

Fighting Force! I just remembered this game. My best friend and I had a lot of favorite games we would play growing up, but this was the one we had the most fun with. Such a dope game.

Okay, I'm changing this thread from underrated games to simply "old games I thought were awesome and want an excuse to talk about." ;D
That being said, Worms was awesome! So simple, yet addictive. The little noises they would make when you obliterated them with a rocket launcher were adorable.

The little noises they would make when you obliterated them with a rocket launcher were adorable. EA's Strike series had about 15 sequels and I don't think anyone cared after Jungle Strike so maybe Fighting Force 2 was released just so people could ask "Was there a Fighting Force 1?" Worms was awesome, I haven't liked any of the sequels though. Especially when the worms became amorpheus pink blobs because people complained that the Worms looked too much like penises

So people were complaining that the worms looked too much like...worms? People will bitch about anything nowadays.

Maybe the felt a penis with a rocket launcher is just too dangerous. It started when the game was released on the Saturn and they put in some CGI cut scenes... so you could follow the story

Yeah but the minion sex was in Jade Cocoon 2 which was terrible compared to the original.

Its not surprising really as some games like Ehrgeiz despite getting a PAL release and featuring FF7 characters was near impossible to find as no one really bothered to stock it.

PSX games unless they have Final Fantasy in their names you can pretty much get for free. Even things like Vagrant Story are worthless. I'll have to check out Jade Cocoon on eBay and see what his story is

And its not like you can play both games for like $30 with the Ultimate Mega Drive Collection

I've still got a Tombi (Or Tomba, depending on where you are!) and I can tell you, it's a 3 or 4/10 as far as psx games go. I was after a copy of Legend of Dragoon myself, but the only one I could find was for silly money and my tight-Yorkshire ways prevented me from parting with anything over £5. One day I'll just download it if nobody wants to be reasonable.

Legend of Dragoon 4 discs of over rated RPG goodness ;D $2.50 sitting on the shelf right there ;D Given that there is about 2000 PAL PSX games many not even getting onto official release lists there is always a mass of old PSX games at any second hand shop in which you can find some gems every so often

This is why you gotta love fad gamers who just get the sudden urge to go retro and are willing to pay stupid amounts of money for games. Every time a new Silent Hill game comes out there is a sudden rush of fanboyism to buy up every game in the series
