Ok, so some of you may already know, I was accepted to Stetson University to attend it the next fall of 2010(I'm now attending a community college). If I was going to a college/university I would go to, big chances are it will be Stetson. Problem is, that if may become bigger.
I'm am starting to seriously ponder(I have been pondering it for a while) whether or not vocational school would be better. For one, I do not want to go through any more liberal arts education.I have had enough of that in high school and in community college. I do not want to be bothered with anymore math or sciences, and I believe it's not until your junior year in college when you start working on your degree. And even when you get your degree, chances are in the job field you may even need to go to a higher degree to have a better chance at a career(depending I guess on your field of study).
With vocational school, I would not have to be bothered with any more liberal arts and I could get started on my field of study right away I believe(my main field I want to study in is Digital Design). Also it may be a faster process into getting into the job market, and I could always go back and go to college in order to earn a degree.
The thing is, my mother wants me to get a degree, but I don't want to do what she wants, I want to do what I want(that's not the reason though I am considering vocational school). And again, I could always go back to college and start on a degree.
Sorry if it seems like I'm rambling or whatever, I just had to get this out somewhere.

You act as if you are 40 or something!
However, if you want the quick fix go to vocational school, that way you can see if you are still interested before going to a university.

if you skip over to the vocational school, note you will over pay and in most cases any work you do there is not transferable to a university. Hubby spent 15,000 in 3 semesters at ITT tech, all we got out of it was 15,000 in student loans. Even worse? The best part of the school was the stupid commercials, outside of that, the education was lousy.

Well I have looked it up and read/heard different things about how transferable is vocational school to a university. I also know that there can be a bigger issue with the money and financial aid. I have a brother who goes to Georgestone vocational school and he has to pace himself in his course(meaning he can't finish it early0 or else he would have to pay back the money and it would be a waste of money. You also do raise a good point about the quality of the education. My main this is I want to get started learning about my area of interest as fast as possible, but college/university's education in a major may be more valuable/expandable than in a vocational school.
