In line with Roseanne's btw none of this happened BS Write your own ending that would have destroyed a long running TV show MASH: The entire show was merely a drunk delusional day dream by Colonel Potter who then wakes up back in the trenches of WW1. So depressed he caps himself and the credits close with the whole Suicide is Painless theme. Simpsons: Every episode post season 10 gets retconned out of existence as it turns out these were all just alternate universes caused by Homer's time traveling toaster adventure from that one Halloween episode which in turn was just punishment from the time Homer had sold his soul. Star Trek Next Generation: Having the finale just be an extension of the Pilot episode where it is revealed Q was just dicking with the Enterprise for the last 7 years so if any of it did happen it didn't matter....oh wait they actually did that  |

Xena: Lucy Lawless discovers her Warrior Princess adventures were actually brought on the accidental combination of several product placement house hold cleaners and after she comes to she finds herself stuck on a 1950s era sitcom where she is pregnant and barefoot in the kitchen all the while married to an overweight bus driver.

Friends: After the final scene of the 6 friends leaving the apartment we cut to Rachel standing with Barry on the alter, this reveals that the whole ten series of the show was Rachels fantasy of the perfect escape from the marriage that she desperately dosent want to enter and that Chandler, Phoebe, Ross, Monica and Joey don't exist. The priest then asks if she takes Barry and the show ends, leaving us without Rachels answer....forever.
