COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An off-duty Columbus office foils a local woman's alleged bank-robbery attempt Wednesday morning.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS from the local bureau of the FBI.
A woman wearing sunglasses entered the Chase Bank, 1245 E. Long St., at about 8:57 a.m. Wednesday.
She approached a teller and handed him a robbery note, authorities said.
She didn't know an off-duty CPD officer, in full uniform, was standing behind her in line.
The teller couldn't read the woman's note and told her so. The woman visibly was frustrated and attempted to make the teller understand.
The suspect noticed the officer behind her, grabbed the note and exited the bank, according to authorities.
The officer didn't know the woman allegedly was attempting to rob the bank.
The teller quickly explained the situation.
The officer apprehended the suspect just as she was trying to eat her note, authorities said.
Lois J. Harvey was arrested, and the note was recovered.
Harvey, 40, was charged with bank robbery.
It marked the city's 16th bank robbery of 2010.
As soon as it hits 20 I'm having a party.

She didn't really think this through, did she?

My favorite part is that she failed at eating the note as well. The bank robbing I get, but really, is eating a piece of paper that difficult? I can't believe I forgot the pictures.
