Watching these matches is pretty frustrating and tedious. Do some of the mens really kick the little round thing outside of the white lines on purpose? I thought the point was to kick it into the net thing. Where's the logic there? Not to mention, there's some serious lacking on the hottie scale. This so-called World Cup isn't giving me what I need. Best believe I will have to tune in tomorrow to catch a glimpse of this:   Mmm, papi. |

The first week has been pretty awful. There’s been like 2 good games so far. Brazil struggled to beat fucking North Korea! Spain lost to Switzerland! Those are my 2 picks to win! And South Africa look to be out already, I was hoping they would do well. I hope it picks up in the knockout rounds at least.

I'm torn. I've wanted Spain to win it and been predicting that for like the last 3 years but I drew Holland in the pool at work, so I stand to win about £30-70 if they win it.

Too bad. I always draw someone who looks to be a decent pick on paper, but they never come through.  Holland do look to be in with a shot of winning this year, their defence looks weak though. |

Scotland is nowhere to be seen That was unnecessary. Argentina were awesome today. Although I remember at the last World Cup they beat someone like 6-0 and were brilliant then they went out with a whimper in their next game, so who knows if they’re more consistent now. They undoubtedly have the best player in the world right now though (yes, screw Ronaldo, Kaka, Rooney etc, it’s not even close) in Messi, although Higiuan (sp?) didn’t look half bad either in that game! I wouldn't mind Argentina winning just to see Maradona's reaction. Look how worked up he gets whenever they score a goal, can you imagine him if they actually won the damn thing? |
