I'm always right, now sit back and watch the Netherlands steamroll through Uruguay and then finally get their long overdue and well earned world cup victory against Germany or Spain . . . or Paraguay . . . Naw scratch that Paraguay is royally fucked.

Doubtful, Uruguay barely beat Ghana, they had to cheat and lost their best player for this match in the process. Netherlands is riding a wave of momentum after overthrowing Brazil. They have this in the bag in my opinion. The final will be a bigger challenge but I dont think they should be ruled out. If they can beat Brazil they can damn sure give Spain or Germany a run for thier money.

I can't believe Argentina got crushed like that... I’m hoping for a Spain-Holland final. A Holland win will pocket me £50 and Spain are probably the best team in the world, so I can’t be mad at them winning either. So now of course the final will end up being Germany-Uruguay.

As long as Spain use a disciplined deep defensive line, they'll crap all over Germany. If their defenders get in their heads that they're strikers (I'm looking at you Piqué) then its all over for Spain

Argentina is no slouch and they were beaten 4-0 by the Germans, and Germany also handed England their biggest defeat ever in a world cup match. Spain had trouble getting out of their group and getting through Paraguay. Those players need to get their heads in the game, if they bring themselves as the team that faced Paraguay on Saturday then Germany's spot in the final is just a walk in the park away.

The Germans have a fantastic counter-attack, no doubt about it, but the games where the've really shone it's been against teams that have tried to attack them too much, with relatively poor defensive lines. I honestly believe this German team is beatable if a team defends deep and plays a patient disciplined game. It'll be boring to watch but it's the best way to break down this young side, grind them out. Germanys defence is pretty poor too when pushed and I think if Spain are patient they will be able to penetrate it comfortably. As long as the back 4 stay back at all times I believe this game is Spains.

Without a doubt. I've always rated Sneijder, but he's played above and beyond this tournament. I honestly think in maybe 8-10 years, USA have a great chance of emerging as a major power.

Lol, I dont think that they care enough to try . . . Asuming you werent just joking. I think in about 4 years time Ireland is gonna make a major impact in the world cup, provided theres no motherfuckin Frenchies to fuck us over this time round. We'll be without Given though . . . Could be a problem.

The money is coming in, the MLS is growing and so with it will the academies. I'm told soccer is one of the fastest growing sports over there, it's a massive country with lots and lots of people and top-end facilities. They'll be good. Ireland I'm not so sure of right yet. Who can you get to replace Robbie Keane? Not to mention others.

Germany might just be playing too good to win the thing. The team who plays the best football in the early stages and earns the majority of praise from neutrals rarely goes on to win.

Well Robbie Keane is awesome and all but we didnt think that before his time there would ever be anyone to replace the likes of Niall Quinn, Roy Keane and Steven Staunton, Ireland has produced some damn good footballers and I'm sure theres some new hungry talent waiting for their oppurtunity.

Screw Paul the psychic octopus! Anyone can predict the winner of a game the day before the final when you have a 50/50 chance of being right. I predicted it a month and a half ago! Final predictions before tommorow: Winners: Spain Runners Up: Brazil 3rd/4th place: Holland/Argentina France won't make it past the group stage. England will play poorly throughout and go out in the quarter finals at the latest. ;D I’m happy to say my lack of faith in England and France was also justified. I’m less happy to see that I misspelled tomorrow though. Oh, and shame about Brazil and Argentina not doing better.

Well I'd backed Spain from the off and happy for them to do it. Moreover they deserved this, they'd played the best football throughout the tournament.
Interesting to note I correctly devised the Spanish gameplan for dealing with the 'unstoppable' German counter-attack. Maybe I should send my CV into the FA
