Don't get pissed because I also posted this "somewhere else", lol.
You can have any style of movie/cast/director/soundtrack/whatever the hell else you want.
Mine would be directed by Martin Scorsese. It would be shot in black and white. I picture this as being a low budget, pretentious, indie film. Would probably be released around Oscar season for added effect. My real life story would be greatly exaggerated of course. I would now become a former gang member whose journey to turn his life around inspires everyone around me and turns me into a local hero by film‘s end. I would die in some kind of heroic fashion right at the end, not sure how yet. The plot synopsis would read something like “gritty urban drama about a young man’s dream of trying to make something of himself growing up in the mean streets of depression ridden 1990’s Glasgow”.
Ewan McGregor would be perfect to play me but he‘s a bit old and fat now, so I’ll go with James McAvoy to handle the burden of playing that role. Sean Connery as my Dad. Billy Connolly as my drunk uncle. David Tennant would be my best friend/sidekick. I’m struggling to think of any Scottish actresses so either Mila Kunis or Scarlett Johansson can adopt a bad Scottish accent and play my love interest (teenage/adolescent years)…I can aim high, right? Lol.
Soundtrack will be mostly local Glasgow bands like Snow Patrol, Primal Scream, Travis, Franz Ferdinand, The Fratelli’s etc. Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden will play over the end credits. At some point I also foresee a cheesy emotional montage with Massive Attack’s “Teardrop” playing over it.
Years later, when all the praise for this masterpiece has died down and I’ve written my memoirs as well, I’ll probably sell my artistic integrity down the river and agree to re-do it with a Michael Bay directed, Gerard Butler starring, big budget Hollywood blockbuster. Money is money.
I’ll think of a title and add more details later.
