The DSiXL seems cooler and is cheaper, but the PSP has a bigger screen and husband can share PS network games on it.

I'd get a PSP-3000 over a PSP Go I agree. There's no UMD Drive in the PSP Go, so you have to download all your games for it.

The PSP Go is also more expensive than the 3000 we are leaning more towards the Dsi LX because you can take pictures with it, go online with it and its more younger kid friendly.

Nintendo are releasing the 3DS next year which will pretty much do away with DSiXL.

What the hell ever happened to Carpe Diem?! well, one way or another he was getting a new hand held as he's moving past the Leapster. That was us testing the waters with him. And yes, we are planning a year in advance as we need to save $3000 for the trip plus buy a second vehicle because I'm going back to work after that. So, I have a year to come up with $10,000.

I voted PSP Go but counted it as a vote for PSP 3000 got ya. It's a tough choice I have both a PSP and a DS and I have to say I've had more hours out of my PSP. I only bought a DS for Pokémon Diamond/Pearl and still have it because of Pokémon Heart Gold.

The DS's gimmick does get boring quick though, just like the Wii's did. And Wii is pretty much dead now that Sony and Microsoft have stolen it's gimmick.

The Wii has been on life support for some time. But as he is just a little kid I'd still say whatever DS is available even though Nintendo will pull a Sega and probably release 5 or 6 more versions by 2012
