For four year at least whenever I'm not moving, or talking I hear this looping sound from my left ear, my right ear never hears this sound, and nobody has ever heard it when I have. It's been getting really noticeable this past year. Like I try to ignore it it's starts as a low looping whistle, but it keeps getting louder until I move or say something. Than it dissapears only return soon after. I've been afraid to tell anyone this in fear of sounding absolutely crazy. Like to give you guys like a sound to base it off off think of it as like those hearing test noises that bleep. So I brought it up tonight breifly, and than I realized I'm an idiot. Why worry too much when there's google to give me all life's answers. I keep hearing a looping noise out of my left ear (my google keyword) Found a link talking about it. Other people have the same problem and asked the question. And some answered, strangely enough in the two posts about the subject both people said they only hear it from their left ear. It's called Tinnitus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinnitus) A lot of people actually suffer from this. I turn out to be one of them, and the noises are different. ( high pitched whining, electric, buzzing, hissing, screaming, humming, tinging or whistling sound, or as ticking, clicking, roaring, "crickets" or "tree frogs" or "locusts", tunes, songs, beeping, or even a pure steady tone like heard in a hearing test)
Oh my god is this shit annoying.
Do any of you suffer from this? Have I answered your question. In my case it's probably hearing loss because I'm hard of hearing. This really could explain a lot as I think my left ear has the hearing problem now. Because at times I can hear a whisper from far away, but at the same time if I heard that whisper near me I might not hear it. I think I just shit bricks. I'm going to pay attention for the next couple of days.
