Has there seriously ever been a good one? I thought Silent Hill was the best one, and even that was only OK. I've sat through all those shitty Resident Evil movies and now my friends want me to go see the new one. I really don't want to suffer through one of those again.  |

I didn't make a thread about this? Oh well. . .Mortal Kombat was decent. . .the first Resident Evil was pretty good also. . . beyond that, no.
edit: Silent Hill was also pretty good.

I did enjoy Silent Hill somewhat but in the right hands they could make a great movie based on those games. Hopefully they will in future.
I can't believe I forgot...but as dumb as they were, I actually did enjoy the Tomb Raider movies for what they where.
EDIT: Doom was fucking atrocious!

How can you say that? It was decent for what it was. How can you really adapt Doom into a movie anyways? ... I enjoyed Super Mario Bros aswell, it was nothing like the games thank God, I fucking hate the little arrogant twats!

A lot of games just aren't meant to be made into movies.
I keep hearing about the possibilty of a Metal Gear Solid one. I have no idea how that would translate into a movie. Actually I do...it would probably be a confusing mess, lol. If they insist on going forward with it though, Viggo Mortensen should play Solid Snake.

Yeah, doom was what it was. . . Why anyone expected anything more is beyond me. . . Mario NEVER should have become a movie. . . GTA could be interesting though. . .main storylines, not the gf stuff lol.
and yeah Tomb Raider was pretty damn good also. . .not the sequel.

Solid Snake would be a James Bond like movie, but with Rambo, lol.

I'm certain there's at least one it two. The hitman one was pretty good, even though they humanised agent 47 a little.
Which came first, the mission impossible movie or the game impossible mission?
When I was a kid I liked the first Pokemon movie, so that must count.
Also, they're planning to turn Red Dead Redemption into a movie which I reckon will be decent. (if they get Brad Pitt as rumoured, but more importantly, the budget that would come along with having a star as big on board)

Surprized that they didn't make a sequel yet, the only complaints I heard were from people too stupid to understand the movie. You called me brilliant  I got the Dragon pokemon card. . . not the cool middle one, the orange one Dragonite. |
