Oh well let us know how the re-release of Dead Rising turns out ;D PS3 is pretty much a dead technology around here already. the Xbox 360 section at big w and target are 3 times the size of the PS3 section and the WII section is about 5 times bigger. It has actually gotten that bad for the PS3 here that if you want accesories like controls you have to order them as they dont bother keeping them in stock. |

I know what you mean, local store here has given up on PS3 accessories. I guess the idea of not doing 3rd party controllers has back fired especially when you charge $70 a controller + I think the fact they persist on charging so much for a product that is in no way at all better then the 360 when the 360 is so much cheaper is killing them. |

Especially during an economic slump Of course it didn't help when the only edge the PS3 has, the blu ray player, doesn't actually play all blu ray discs. Still I shall not be getting a Wii until they get something on par with the RE1 remake for the Gamecube The main reason I brought the WII was it was only $240 and by setting it up in the second lounge room I will be able to prvent the rest of the household from constantly playing my xbox. |

Broken controllers, destroyed saved data and nice sticky finger prints on discs @#$% @#$% @#$% the horror the horror! See the little shit cousisn is an issue I have as well as the rest of the house hold. and the allure of being able to wave there arms and jump around like morons lures them to the WII and away from the xbox. Not to mention everytime they leave there is multiple xbox and PS2 games missing so the further away they are from the xbox the better. Plus I paid for it with Government money and not my own anyway so It's all good. |

No shitty cousins in general should be illegal, I used to best friends with my cousin, then our schools merged in 8th grade and he's been a douche to me ever since. He wiled out on me for asking him if he was doing heroine or coke because my grandpa was hearing things and was suspicious. He brought my mom into the argument and I haven't talked to him. I've only said what's up to him twice in two years. And we live five minutes away from one another.
Oh and the wii sucks.

As much as I dislike the Wii, I can't argue with Tanswell's logic on this one, if you need a sacrificial console it might as well be a Wii. After all that's what the Gamecube was for. I thought it was the best option for sacrificial console. I had the choice between $600 for a PS3 which I'd have to use my own money for or $280 for a WII which was payed with out of the Governments money. I still havent even bothered setting it up yet. But I will set it some time tonight so it can start serving it's decoy purpose tomorrow. |

I ahve a pile of like 50 odd PS2 games in my room BUT my PS2 still hasnt returned from it's trip to QLD. It annoys me so much to have that pile staring at me and no way to play them.

When the PS2 came out, I got it hours before it was released in the US.
Because my mother worked at a place it was being shipped, she got it because she was one who set them up to buy, paid the 300+ bucks and left. She had a very limited number of them too. Like, 4 to sell, and there was a line of 70 or so waiting for one.
I've had the same one that still works to this day. Fucker is almost 10 years old.
As for the new generation? Sadly, I own none. The Wii doesn't interest me. I can play with my own Wii thank you very much. Though, Super Smash Brothers Brawl looks interesting.
PS3 is said to be rubbish so I guess it's time for me to break my alliance with Sony and go Microsoft. I mean, come on, Left 4 Dead? Bioshock? Gears of War? Hell yeah.

I've gone off all consoles lately, PS3 hasn't done enough for me and only finds itself being dusted down when I want to watch a movie or that bi-annual good game comes out.
I can't get used to the Xbox controllers.
The Wii I dislike. I'm still determined it's only a gimmicky console for the mentally challenged. Indeed, the only time I've had fun on one was when I was off my face on Absinthe.
And I'm not nerdy enough to become a full blown PC gamer, minus the odd game.

Gamestop sucks in general around except for pc and old ps2 games. Just thought of that, even their 360 collection is rather weak, you see bigger at the freaking video store.

I'm dead fucking serious about that, lol! It's freaking horrible! In the video store, and Best Buy they at least have an aisle for the 360 and wii and stick the ps3 games with the aisle and a half of PS2 games, lol! PC games I see mainly at gamestop.

I was in Dubbo today and stopped in to EB to see what "bargins" they had and the PS3 has no space in there either. The second hand PS2 wall has triple the room and the PS3 games I found where all on clearance. xbox on the other hand took up half the store.
