Speaking of MTV, who can forget Beavis & Butthead and Celebrity Deathmath?
And TRL back when it was awesome.

Being on a TV show for season doesn't mean you're going to be rolling in money. I wasn't evaluating her success in the monetary sense of the word. I just happen to think that the L Word is quite a good show. You should check it out.

I wonder if in 10 years time this board will still be around with a bunch of people talking about how great Lady Gaga, Avatar, Family Guy, Lil Wayne etc were back in the day. The thought of that makes me want to be sick honestly. The 90's will always be where it's at. Kinda like how Avril managed to get voted onto the 100 Greatest Canadians of all time and Steps was voted Band of the Millenium. Sadly every decade spawns over rated dire music that somehow reaches #1 despite no one you know liking it.

If doing quite well herself means she is still breathing and has enough to eat while still getting the chance to act, then I suppose there is hope for all actors.

I know, Bret Hart bitching...unheard of. Well if Bret Hart thinks he's better then say Pierre Tredoux, David Suzuki, Terry Fox, Wayne Gretzky etc etc then I think we have found proof he has in fact spilled over from bizarro world. I was surprised James Doohan did make the list 1) Famous if not type cast actor from Star Trek 2) Decorated war hero from WW2 3) Inspired generations of students to take up engineering 4) The usual suspects of charity work that seems to act as tie breakers What really has Bret Hart done?

I'm just glad that I didn't make too many crazy fashion choices during the decade that would come back to haunt me later through old photographs.
Apart from me and all my friends decisions to dye our hair blonde for a while (Let's just say not many Scottish males can pull off bleached blonde hair), I think I managed to emerge somewhat unscathed in that regard.

Well done acknowledging that these are basic requirements of survival does call into question the whole term of doing well for herself but if you notice in the second part of the statement... "while still getting the chance to act" Means she is also getting to do what she loves/enjoys as opposed to those who do not

It is sad that decades can be picked just for some horrific hairstyles. I'm sure the whole emo comb forward thing will be the subject of much laughter from the next generation. Recently flicking through a Nat Geo from the 1970s that was dealing with then modern pop culture. Given the options presented the mohawk seemed like the most sensible haircut

What really has Bret Hart done? Bret screwed Bret. Canada never forgets...cause Bret Hart keeps reminding them. I think the only person who made the top 100 list purely on sporting prowess was Donovan Bailey but his 100 meter gold medal also help erase the shame of Ben Johnson's steroid scandal so there was more to it than just being a good athlete

Screw Bret Hart.
Anyway, if South Park (another 90's favorite) has taught us anything, it's that all Canadians have flapping heads and love fart jokes. So they obviously don't all take themselves as seriously as he does.

Haircuts can be needlessly expensive so the bowl on the head trick is a time and money saver. Of course males don't have to endure the scam that is cutting girl hair with even a basic trim costing at least 50% more if you're lucky most of the time its just double.

Always funny to see be mortified about asking if I'm American and they find out I'm Canadian. Whilst I'm sure there are some who would be offended I think of it more being a basic math thing. 300+ Million Americans as to 30+ Million Canadians so it's an honest mistake
